Dubai property questions, answered.

Yes. UK, Irish and other foreign nationals can buy freehold property in designated areas of Dubai with full ownership rights. You do not need to be a UAE resident, and there is no minimum stay requirement. Chandler International handles the entire process remotely from contract to handover.

Off-plan property is bought directly from the developer before construction is complete, typically using a staged payment plan tied to construction milestones. Off-plan in Dubai usually offers lower entry prices, interest-free developer payment plans, and strong capital appreciation between launch and handover.

Dubai continues to offer 6–9% rental yields, zero income tax on rental income, no capital gains tax, and Golden Visa eligibility on qualifying purchases (typically AED 2M+). For UK and Irish buyers this is materially stronger after-tax than most UK buy-to-let strategies.

Most Dubai off-plan launches start with a 10–20% down payment, with the remainder paid in instalments over the construction period. Some developers offer post-handover payment plans extending 2–5 years beyond completion.

There is no personal income tax in the UAE, so rental income from Dubai property is not taxed locally. UK and Irish residents should still declare overseas rental income to HMRC or Revenue and may offset costs under standard rules — Chandler International can refer you to specialist cross-border tax advisors.
